On-line Only Option

This is an option for students who would like to participate, but have a scheduling conflict.

The on-line option is also open to students who live outside of the Heber Valley.

How it works:

Make sure to read the festival Overview Page. Much of the information is the same for in-person and online only students.

Students will submit all of the entries online, except the Theory Test.

Composition, Technique, and Duet or Accompaniment are due at registration.

THEORY TEST:

The theory test will be sent in the mail and administered by the teacher or parent.  When complete the parent will submit through a Dropbox file (emailed to you).

PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES:

Baroque/Classical, Romantic/Contemporary, and Pop/Jazz will be recorded, uploaded to YouTube, and then submitted to a Dropbox file (emailed to you).

RESULTS:

Judges notes, certificates, and Superior Musician awards will be mailed to participants by the end of May, 2025.

MASTERCLASS & CONCERTS:

The festival Masterclass, Guest Concert, and Honors Concert will be broadcast over Facebook Live, with a link available for those who are not able to view in realtime.

Are there other differences between on-line only and in person?

On-line students will get the same participation incentives as the In-person participants. (mailed to teacher or personal address).

On-line students are not eligible to earn the Outstanding Musician Award (top point award of Levels 8-10), or the ElRoy Van Wagoner scholarship.
